Here is a question for those of you that are as into the world of fashion as I am:
If you are going to buy a pair of $400 boots from the Coach store, shouldn't you buy the matching $400 bag as well? Yeah, I thought so too.
These purses have actually made me rethink my position on the fuschia-colored boots. Do you know how fly I would be walking through Vegas with the fuschia boots and a fuschia bag? The white boots and white bag make it a worthwhile purchase already, but now I'm thinking the Coach store may have $2400 worth of my money before it is all over with. I may have to officially retire my coach fetish after that.
Did I mention they have the quilted hats to match? Unfortunately, they only come in fuschia and white. The hats are not available in black which is puzzling, but believe me when I tell you I will find a way to make it work.
The thing that makes Coach worth the money is classic style. All of their pieces can be worn year after year if you take care of them. They are made from good quality materials, and if you send your registration cards in, you are protected for life. This is the first time I've allowed myself to be taken in by their signature line. I usually stray away from large and obvious logos because they go out of style too quickly, but these quilted pieces are understated enough to pass below the radar.
As much as I would love to spend the additional $400 to have the matching quilted jacket, when it comes to their clothing and outerwear, Coach does not cater to those of us with more cushion for the pushin'. Don't worry, we are not without options. There are shops out there that do give a damn about the women that like to order more than a salad when they go out to dinner.
Although it is not made with real rabbit fur, the Old Navy Women's Plus Frost Free Hooded Jacket is cute purchase at a smart price. Reminiscent of the bomber jackets we used to wear in 7th and 8th grade (am I dating myself?), it is begging for a date with the Coach rabbit fur ensemble. Of course, the fur on the boots does not match the fur on the bag or the jacket, but who cares when you look this good?

That Old Navy hoodie is fire. I hope I see some ladies rocking that when I go to NY later this month.
