i haven't been shoe shopping in a very long time.
I've never met a pair of boots I didn't like. That's probably not true, but I cannot remember a time I discovered a pair of boots that I didn't like. I've never witnessed Uggs in person, but I can say without a doubt that I would never own a pair, and that is just a personal preference. Still, good boots are worth having an any girls wardrobe. The right books can dress a pair of jeans up, take a skirt from the office to the nightclub and make a girl that is pretty much all legs look larger than life. When boots were invented, the cobblers were doing something right. I have never owned a pair of $400 boots, but I am seriously considering making the Sofie a part of this winter's wardrobe. The boots were featured in the November 2004 In Style magazine in the instant style section and as soon as I saw them, I recognized them as a Coach product. They have a quilted signature pattern and are trimmed with rabbit fur. They come in fuschia, black and white, which means that I am actually considering owning two pairs of $400 boots, because while I can definitely pass on fuschia boots, you can't really expect me to make a choice between black and white.
Now, while I may be able to pass on a pair of fuschia boots, fuschia-colored sneakers would be an okay purchase, right? Owning three pairs of sneakers that cost $120 is not really such a bad thing, and even if it were, you'd forgive me for owning the Maiya Sneaker in all three shades, right? From velour warm up suits to denim skirts and tee shirts, I can see these sneakers making the fashion rounds in my wardrobe. White nylon may be a tad difficult to keep clean, but seeing as it's already after labor day, I don't expect to have too many occasions come up where I'd really need to wear a pair of white sneakers. I'd like to have them though, just in case.
The Sofie won't be the type of boot that I can wear with everything. I still need a sensible boot that will go well with jeans and slacks. That's where the Got-You from Steve Madden comes in. This boot was just made to be paired with wool slacks and the perfect low-rise, bootcut jeans. It is available in three colors, and I, once again, will be investing in all three.
I love instyle too...there have been many things I've persued after seeing them in there. only magazine I actually have a subscription to.
anyway, those boots really are quite dope...I like the white ones the best. but ya know what I like even more? this purse...while you have a thing for shoes, I am allll about bags. and that one is a must have *adds it to the list*
